Don't Panic! Andy Ihnatko and Scott Knaster Host 2005 ADHOC Showcase

Showcase looking for entries

Are you the sort of person who does six impossible things before breakfast and then rounds off the morning with lunch at Milliways? You can start your conference experience by snatching time from the first 48 hours of sessions to write an incredibly clever program for the ADHOC Showcase. The Showcase is coming again, and it's going to be even more spectacular with the addition of Andy Ihnatko as the host for the event. The Showcase is your chance to demonstrate to the Universe that your code is, well, mostly harmless.

Always wanted to give your computer a Genuine People Personality? Don't let it be Somebody Else's Problem, join us and you can make it happen. Although Eddy's in the space time continuum, you can enjoy putting your skills to the test in Dearborn, Michigan. We're at the unfashionable end of the Western Spiral Arm of the Galaxy, but the hyperspace bypass will take you right here.

You can work alone, but two heads are better than one, and three arms are better than two, so create a programming team - you can either bring your own with you or put one together from other conference attendees on the spot - and develop wonders such as the universe has never seen. If you do well, you won't be the first against the wall when the revolution comes. Don't forget to sign your name in the fjords!

Your work is presented to the assembled mutitudes of attendees at the Showcase, our third consecutive Midnight Event. Attendees will vote for the best of the Showcase presentations, and prizes will be awarded at the banquet on Saturday.
